Are you ready for a change?
Are you having difficulties with anxiety, trauma, a phobia, insomnia, depression, or a chronic health condition?
Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in life?
I believe that sometimes it only takes a small change or shift in perspective to reach a higher level of life satisfaction. In a safe and professional relationship, I will work with you to relieve emotional distress, help facilitate positive life changes, and improve your mind and body health.
Finding the right therapist might take time and effort, but it is essential when you are wading through those piles of whatever life has dumped at your feet. Your therapist should be someone you want to speak to, and who you look forward to seeing even when the work gets difficult. You need to feel a strong connection to your therapist and a feeling that you can develop a trusting relationship together. You don’t need to be in the middle of an emergency to seek therapy. It can be an appropriate choice at any time like when you’re going through a transition such as divorce, retirement, menopause, starting a new job, becoming a parent, graduating from college, moving to a new city or other big life changes. Maybe you’re just feeling stuck and can’t seem to find the right path, or the next steps to take towards happiness. Sometimes you just have a general feeling that something’s not right and you want to explore different areas of dissatisfaction.
I became a therapist because I have a strongly held belief that everyone can create a happy and fulfilled life, and sometimes we just can’t find our way through the weeds to that field of possibility. I personally have experienced a lot of benefit from therapy at different points in my life where the challenges of daily living seemed overwhelming and I needed support to cope and navigate through the mire. Although therapy can be challenging at times when confronting truths or processing difficult emotions, you should always feel comfortable and supported. You should feel empowered to create solutions that work for you, and to see progress towards short-term and long-term goals.
My mission is to improve your overall wellbeing with proven therapeutic strategies. My practice is conveniently located in Vernon, BC. I also offer teletherapy for online counseling for residents of BC and Alberta.
